Those are usually you r personal information. However, you donât have to list anything that will make you feel uncomfortable. Always include just the necessary basics about you, such as full name, phone number, e-mail, and address. These data are among the most common requirements regardless of the position you apply to.As for additional information, itâs entirely up to you to decide if you want or not to include those in your resume as well.Pay special attention to the e-mail address you include in your CV. Avoid writing an address that sounds embarrassing, inappropriate or silly. Those can only decrease your chances to be among the selected candidates.Opt for one that sounds ordinary and professional. If you havenât got something like that, well, create it. It takes just several minutes, but it makes a significant difference.Hereâs a practical example:sonya.morgan@gmail.com Rightsonya_loves_chocolate@gmail.com WrongAs far as your full name, things are pretty clear on this one. NEVER EVER write nicknames, alias names, and pseudonyms. Your real name is what matters the most to your potential employee, so that is, quite logical, what you should write in your CV.Sonya Morgan RightSweet Sonnie Hayford WrongHave in mind that when youâre listing your profession, avoid generic and broad expression. Itâs important to be specific. The recruiter should get a precise definition of you as possible. The first option is to choose to write your actual profession, the subject youâve graduated on or the topic of your master thesis. The second is to write your previous job title if youâve changed professions during your career.Whichever you select, just make sure itâs direct to the point.Retail pharmacy technician RightPharmacy technician WrongThe last thing, if you decide to add your social media to your resume, which we warmly advise you to, including LinkedIn.This site can be used as your other resume where the potential employers can get more information about you if your C V caught their attention. If you include it, make sure itâs up to date, otherwise, the effect will be the opposite. The information from your resume and profile have to be correspondent to each other.SUMMARY SECTION FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN THAT WORKS IN 2019The next step is the Summary section, which represents a mini intro compiled of your work experience, education, and skills. It is essential to write this segment precise and concise so that HRs reading your resume can have a clear picture of you.Hereâs what you need to pay attention to:Be precise â" Your summary should feature information that can be found in the rest of your CV. It shouldnât be a new bit of info. Itâs a brief version of something that is later described or mentioned.Have reasonable expectations â" You can tailor your summary to sound as if you are an expert like no other in the world, but if thereâs no actual work experience or set of skills to support that, it may sound overestimated or even false.Av oid sounding boring â" No one says that it has to be a highly-descriptive essay, but make sure it sounds engaging enough for the recruiter to pay attention while reading it. The last thing you want is your employer falling asleep because your CV is the same all the way. Make it sound exciting but focus on being honest as well.Come to think of an ideal summary, it should consist of two or three sentences describing your skillsets, experience and the place you graduated from and typically it should contain at least one reason why you are applying for this job.On the other hand, you can also opt for a combination of your skills and experience, if you prefer. The point is to catch attention. Hereâs a practical example to illustrate so:SummaryCompound pharmacy technician with 6+ years of experience, with a high level of efficiency in supervising and executing manufacturing formula in a timely fashion. Provided exceptional client service and assisted custodial staff with the cleaning o f the facilities when requested. Examined prescription list regularly, making sure that expired medications must be returned to the manufacturer. RightSummaryExperienced pharmacy technician. Monitored and executed manufacturing formula. Provided excellent customer support. WrongOur simple guide will bring you higher chances to get the desired job. A dull summary (and overall CV) can only stray the recruiter away from your resume to another candidate, without even allowing you to show that you are the right person for the position.Even if you are the most qualified candidate for the advertised job, itâs necessary to spice things up a bit.Not telling lies, of course, but arranging them in the most attractive manner possible. We have shown you how to achieve so, and here are more useful tips and tricks!WRITING THE PERFECT EXPERIENCE SECTION FOR PHARMACY TECHNICIANThe Summary is extremely important, but arranging the Experience section is the crucial thing on your CV.The main reason is that this aspect provides essential information about your previous experience and shows if you are qualified for the position. Furthermore, the recruiter can evaluate in which way you can contribute to the company. If youve proved yourself as a good and reliable employee in previous companies youve worked for and if you have the required skill set to contribute to the company youre applying to, chances are you will get the job. Moreover, if you know how to arrange and articulate those, chances are even bigger. Also, by listing your previous positions and experience you are providing your employer the information of for how long have youâve been employed and unemployed. This is an important signal for the potential employers because sometimes they are simply not so willing to give the job someone who doesnât have at least 2 or 3 years of experience.Sometimes a person can have an excellent set of skills, but the experience still prevails, as it confirms how you utilize the skills you have. It may not sound fair, particularly for entry-level and inexperienced candidates, but the competition is merciless. When listing the previous position, donât forget, you should always add 3 or 4 bullets about how youâve contributed to the company. Hereâs an extra tip for you numbers and percentages do the magic! They have the power to convince your employer that youâve made an impact on your previous job position.Of course, donât push this, if impossible. The trick cannot be applied to absolutely every profession and implementing those artificially can only be a sign that you are performing tricks instead of focusing on reality. Right WrongHave this in mind as well- when writing about your previous experiences, include only the purposeful ones in your resume. The rule âthe more the betterâ does not make sense here. The only jobs you should list are those which are somehow connected to the profession youâre applying for.If you were washing dishes for a year before your real career began or you were a pet sitter occasionally, itâs quite okay to omit that from your resume. Those experiences are completely irrelevant to the position of pharmacy technician.EDUCATION THAT WILL GET EARN YOU YOUR NEXT JOBThis one may not be as important as the Experience section, but you should also arrange it carefully. This section can make a difference in the situation if there are two candidates with equal experience and skill set.To take a practical example, if a recruiter is to choose between two candidates, one who has excellent grades and skills, and the other who has a year or two of experience, but no contribution on the job, the logical choice is the first candidate. So, the education matters, like all the other sections do, which is why one must carefully write and describe all the qualifications and skills, seminars, essays.Again, make sure thereâs a balance.Donât just list things for the sake of listing them, do so if they are connected with the position you are applying for. Here are the points to highlight in the Education section:The college, academy or online course youâve graduated from.GPA scores if it is very high.Papers youve written, projects youve taken part in and seminars youve visited.Organizations and clubs youâve joined.Being a pharmacy technician is a responsible and dynamic position if you are a kind of person that can show so.There are plenty of opportunities to grow professionally and constantly acquire new knowledge.Thatâs why itâs essential to write a CV that will represent all your qualities at their finest, and make the recruiters believe that thereâs n o better candidate than you.ORDER OF SKILLS IS IMPORTANT, WRITE IT SMARTThere are several types of the position of a pharmacy technician, so the skillset varies depending on that.Although they may sound like ordinary and not so important duties to you, to the recruiter they are very meaningful.Your job is to describe them as less generic as possible. It may sound challenging, but thereâs a little trick on how to make them sound dynamic. When listing skills, for example for retail pharmacy technician and compound pharmacy technician, try to think of what are the specific requirements for each of these positions. Based on that, think of adequate skills and describe them well and precise.Whatever you do, avoid listing mediocre skills which everyone who applies for this position usually list. Let us give you a practical example to explain: Right Wrong Pro TipSide note:The same thing as with the Experience section, donât list skills which have nothing to do with the position you are applying for. The fact that you are âgreat at making pasta with tomato sauceâ or âpassionate swimmerâ sound cool, but do not explain whether you are a qualified pharmacy technician or not.USEFUL TIPS AND TRICKS FOR WRITING PHARMACY TECHNICIAN RESUMELength of your resume â" Itâs not about adding as many things as you can think of in your resume, but listing what matters. Keep in mind that recruiters havenât got much time to check out all the CVs, so you need to maintain an optimal length. The ideal is around one page, two is still okay if you have so much precious experience, but beyond that is too much.Proofreading â" Be careful and double-check what and how you wrote it all. Grammar errors, typos and similar are a bug must NOT have in the CV. Donât let a grammatical error damage your credibility and be the eliminatory factor. If you are not sure or have some doubts about the correctness, send your resume to a proofreader.Reviewing â" Carefully review your CV and when you finish, do it once again. Having a second opinion is also a great option to make sure that your resume sounds okay. If you have a friend who is an HR, consider sending your resume to him/ her. Independent opinion is always valuable and can get you a useful insight from some new perspective.Articulate â" The ability to articulate the information you provide on your resume precisely is a crucial thing. Try to be clear and precise, the last thing you want is ending up being interpreted the wrong way. If you want that job, make your resume sound and look presentable.Adapting your resume â" Adjust your resume based on the position you are applying for so that it matches the specific requirements. Yes, the best would be to write a different resume every time you apply for some job, but in case you cannot, adapt it to match the position you are interested in. Not all job positions require the same skills and the same work experience and thatâs why it important to personalize your CV based on the demands.Bulleting â" Do you know that the recruiters spend just 6 seconds on average looking at oneâs resume? Six seconds?! The best way to utilize those seconds wisely is to use bullet points in your resume. They are an excellent way to make your CV well-organized and easy to read, which is the fastest way that the potential employer spots you.Highlighting â" If you want to emphasize keywords, you can mix this with bullet points. However, try not to over-do it as it may become counter-productive. Itâs not about artificially trying to impress your potential employer, but stressing out key points in a balanced way.Font â" Those handwritten-like fonts such as Segoe Print or MV Boli, do look stylish and pretty, but not in your CV. The fact that your resume is written in some unique and good-looking font definitely wonâ t increase the chances to get the job so stick with the good, old fonts like Cambria, Helvetica, Calibri, Times New Roman, and similar. The biggest secret of their success is that they look neutral and are easy to read. Thatâs why they are the most common choice for various formal documents, among which resumes.Formatting â" Make sure have a copy of your resume both in physical and digital form. You donât want a power outage to surprise you, and those things happen, no matter how bizarre it sounds. In addition to this, provide a CV in different formats such as PDF and TXT because you never know which format does the recruiter prefer.E-Mail â" Donât forget to check your E-Mail regularly. Itâs a must when applying for a job. While back then it was quite common to get a phone call directly from your boss asking you if you can come into interview tomorrow because you are among the selected candidates, itâs no longer a practice. And the last thing you want is missing the chan ce, right?Resume template â" We came up with very practical resume template builders for various profiles of jobs and itâs highly likely that you will find just the right one for your profession. Personal Theory of Practice - 873 Words
Personal theory of practice assignment The professional development of a teacher can be a challenging task yet not impossible. During the process of this course I have learned how to face this challenge. However developing my own ideas and style of language teaching is still a work in progress. As a prospective language teacher I take in all methods and principles this course as given me. In doing so I believe it will make me a better professional. This course has presented me with some thoughts ELT teachers need to have once the period of formal training is over. Teaching starts with the teacher seeking to get a better understanding of her class and how to connect with them. Once the teacher establishes what her students interests and views are, finding the right teaching assessment will be an easier task I think. As the upper secondary school National Curriculum (2011, p.103) states ââ¬Å"It is important to keep in mind that, the competence levels describe the knowledge, skill and competence that characterizes students regardless of school level. Thus pupils in compulsory school are studying a Nordic language or English at the first competence level as students in upper secondary schools who are studying a new language. The time for acquiring the competence that characterizes each competence level may differ from one pupil to anotherââ¬Å". This suggests that teachers should take into consideration the differences between the students and give them more room to develop.Show MoreRelatedPersonal Observation On Theory And Practice1939 Words à |à 8 PagesCritical factors in the success and failure of projects: a personal observation on theory and practice in relation to the Dambek project Introduction Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to conform to customer demands. The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove Chapter 14~15 Free Essays
string(70) " of how much this little patch of plants ruled his life made him ill\." Fourteen Molly Pine Cove was a decorative town ââ¬â built for show ââ¬â only one degree more functional than a Disneyland attraction and decidedly lacking in businesses and services that catered to residents rather than tourists. The business district included ten art galleries, five wine-tasting rooms, twenty restaur-ants, eleven gift and card shops, and one hardware store. The position of hardware clerk in Pine Cove was highly coveted by the townââ¬â¢s retired male population, for nowhere else could a man posture well past his prime, pontificate, and generally indulge in the arrogant self-important chest-pounding of an alpha male without having a woman intercede to remind him that he was patently full of shit. We will write a custom essay sample on The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove Chapter 14~15 or any similar topic only for you Order Now Crossing the threshold of Pine Cove Hardware and breaking the beam that rang the bell was tantamount to setting off a testosterone alarm, and if theyââ¬â¢d had their way, the clerks would have constructed a device to at-omize the corners with urine every time the bell tolled. Or at least thatââ¬â¢s the way it seemed to Molly when she entered that Saturday morning. The clerks, three men, broke from their heated argument on the finer points of installing a wax toilet seal ring to stare, snicker, and make snide comments under their breath about the woman who had entered their domain. Molly breezed past the counter, focusing on an aisle display of gopher poison to avoid eye contact. Raucous laughter erupted from the clerks when she turned down the aisle for roofing supplies. The clerks, Frank, Bert, and Les ââ¬â all semiretired, balding, paunchy, and generally interchangeable, except that Frank wore a belt to hold up his double knits, while the other two sported suspenders fashioned to look like yellow measuring tape ââ¬â planned to make Molly beg. Oh, theyââ¬â¢d let her wander around for a while, let her try to comprehend the arcane func-tion of the gizmos, geegaws, and widgets binned and bubble-wrapped around the store. Then she would have to come back to the counter and submit. It was Frankââ¬â¢s turn to do the condescending, and he would do his best to drop-kick her ego before finally leading the little lady to the appro-priate product, where he would continue to question her into full humili-ation. ââ¬Å"Well, is it a sheet metal screw or a wood screw? Three-eighths or seven-sixteenths? Do you have a hex head screwdriver? Well, then, youââ¬â¢ll need one, wonââ¬â¢t you? Are you sure you wouldnââ¬â¢t rather just call someone to do this for you?â⬠Tears and/or sniffles from the customer would signal victory and confirm superior status for the male race. Frank, Bert, and Les watched Molly on the security monitor, exchanged some comments about her breasts, laughed nervously after five minutes passed without her surrender, and tried to look busy when she emerged from the aisle carrying a five-gallon can of roof-patching tar, a roll of fiberglass fabric, and a long-handled squeegee. Molly stood at the counter, shifting her weight from foot to foot. Bert and Les squinted into a catalog set on a rotating stand while concentrating on sucking in their guts. Frank manned the register and pretended he was doing something complex on the keyboard, when, in fact, he was just making it beep. Molly cleared her throat. Frank looked up as if heââ¬â¢d just noticed she was there. ââ¬Å"Find everything you need?â⬠ââ¬Å"I think so,â⬠Molly said, taking both hands to lift the heavy can of tar onto the counter. ââ¬Å"You need some resin for that fiberglass fabric?â⬠Les said. ââ¬Å"And some hardener?â⬠Bert said. Frank snickered. ââ¬Å"Some what?â⬠Molly said. ââ¬Å"You canââ¬â¢t patch a trailer roof with that stuff, miss. You live down at the Fly Rod, donââ¬â¢t you?â⬠They all knew who she was and where she lived. She was often the subject of hardware store gossip and speculation, even though sheââ¬â¢d never set foot in there before today. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m not going to patch a roof.â⬠ââ¬Å"Well, you canââ¬â¢t use that on a driveway. You need asphalt sealer, and it should be applied with a brush, not a squeegee.â⬠ââ¬Å"How much do I owe you?â⬠Molly said. ââ¬Å"You should wear a respirator when you work with fiberglass. You have one at home, right?â⬠Bert asked. ââ¬Å"Yeah, right next to the elves and the gnomes,â⬠Les said. Molly didnââ¬â¢t flinch. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s right,â⬠Frank said. ââ¬Å"Those fibers get down in your lungs and they could do you a world of harm, especially with those lungs.â⬠The clerks all laughed at the joke. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ve got a respirator out in the truck,â⬠Les said. ââ¬Å"I could come by after work and give you a hand with your little project.â⬠ââ¬Å"That would be great,â⬠Molly said. ââ¬Å"What time?â⬠Les balked. ââ¬Å"Well, I, umâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ll pick up some beer.â⬠Molly smiled. ââ¬Å"You guys should come along too. I could really use the help.â⬠ââ¬Å"Oh, I think Les can handle it, canââ¬â¢t you, Les?â⬠Frank said as he hit the total key. ââ¬Å"That comes to thirty-seven sixty-five with tax.â⬠Molly counted her money out on the counter. ââ¬Å"So Iââ¬â¢ll see you tonight?â⬠Les swallowed hard and forced a smile. ââ¬Å"You bet,â⬠he said. ââ¬Å"Thanks then,â⬠Molly said brightly. Then she picked up her supplies and headed for the door. As she broke the doorbell beam, Frank whispered ââ¬Å"Crazy slutâ⬠under his breath. Molly stopped, turned slowly, and winked. Once she was outside, the clerks made miserable old white guy attempts at trading high-fives while patting Les on the back. It was a hardware store fantasy fulfilled ââ¬â much better than just humiliating a woman, Les would get to humiliate her and get her naked as well. For some reason theyââ¬â¢d all been feeling a little randy lately, thinking about sex almost as often as power tools. ââ¬Å"My wife is going to kill me,â⬠Les said. ââ¬Å"What she donââ¬â¢t know wonââ¬â¢t hurt her,â⬠the other two said in unison. Theo Theo actually felt his stomach lurch when he went into his victory garden and clipped a handful of sticky buds from his pot plants. They werenââ¬â¢t for himself this time, but the reminder of how much this little patch of plants ruled his life made him ill. You read "The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove Chapter 14~15" in category "Essay examples" And how was it that he hadnââ¬â¢t felt the need to fire up his Sneaky Pete for three days? A twenty-year drug habit suddenly ends? No withdrawal, no side effects, no cravings? The freedom was almost nauseating. It was as if the Weirdness Fairy had landed in his life with a thump, popped him on the head with a rubber chicken, bit him on the shin, then went off to inflict herself on the rest of Pine Cove. He stuffed the marijuana into a plastic bag, tucked it into his jacket pocket, and climbed into the Volvo for the forty-mile drive to San Junipero. He was going to have to enter the bowels of the county justice building and face the Spider to find out what he wanted to know. The pot was grease for the Spider. He would stop by a convenience store on the way down and pick up a bag full of snacks to augment the bribe. The Spider was difficult, arrogant, and downright creepy, but he was a cheap date. Through the safety-glass window, Theo could see the Spider sitting in the middle of his web: five computer screens with data scrolling across them illuminated the Spider with an ominous blue glow. The only other light in the room came from tiny red and green power indicator lights that shone through the darkness like crippled stars. Without looking away from his screens, the Spider buzzed Theo in. ââ¬Å"Crowe,â⬠the Spider said, not looking up. ââ¬Å"Lieutenant,â⬠Theo said. ââ¬Å"Call me Nailgun,â⬠the Spider said. His name was Irving Nailsworth and his official position in the San Juni-pero Sheriffââ¬â¢s Department was chief technical officer. He was five-foot-five inches tall, weighed three hundred and thirty pounds, and had taken to wearing a black beret when he perched in his web. Early on, Nailsworth had seen that nerds would rule the world, and he had staked out his own little information fiefdom in the basement of the county jail. Nothing happened without the Spider knowing about it. He monitored and con-trolled all the information that moved about the county, and before anyone recognized what sort of power that afforded, he had made himself indis-pensable to the system. He had never arrested a suspect, touched a firearm, or set foot in a patrol car, yet he was the third-highest-ranking officer on the force. Besides a taste for raw data, the Spider had weaknesses for junk food, Internet porn, and high-quality marijuana. The latter was Theoââ¬â¢s key to the Spiderââ¬â¢s lair. He put the plastic Baggie on the keyboard in front of Nails-worth. Still without looking at Theo, the Spider opened the bag and sniffed, pinched a bud between his fingers, then folded the bag up and stuffed it into his shirt pocket. ââ¬Å"Nice,â⬠he said. ââ¬Å"What do you need?â⬠He peeled the marshmallow cap off a Hostess Sno Ball, shoved it into his mouth, then threw the cake into a wastebasket at his feet. Theo set the bag of snacks down next to the wastebasket. ââ¬Å"I need the autopsy report on Bess Leander.â⬠The Nailgun nodded, no easy task for a man with no discernible neck. ââ¬Å"And?â⬠Theo wasnââ¬â¢t sure what questions to ask. Nailsworth seldom volunteered information, you had to ask the right question. It was like talking to a rotund Sphinx. ââ¬Å"I was wondering if you could come up with something that might help me find Mikey Plotznik.â⬠Theo knew he didnââ¬â¢t have to explain. The Spider would know all about the missing kid. The Spider reached into the bag at his feet and pulled out a Twinkie. ââ¬Å"Let me pull up the autopsy.â⬠His fat fingers flew over the keyboard. ââ¬Å"You need a printout?â⬠ââ¬Å"That would be nice.â⬠ââ¬Å"It doesnââ¬â¢t show you as the investigating officer.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s why I came to you. The M.E.ââ¬â¢s office wouldnââ¬â¢t let me see the report.â⬠ââ¬Å"Says here cause of death was cardiac arrest due to asphyxiation. Suicide.â⬠ââ¬Å"Yes, she hung herself.â⬠ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t think so.â⬠ââ¬Å"I saw the body.â⬠ââ¬Å"I know. Hanging in the dining room.â⬠ââ¬Å"So what do you mean, you donââ¬â¢t think so? ââ¬Å"The ligature marks on her neck were postmortem, according to this. Neck wasnââ¬â¢t broken, so she didnââ¬â¢t drop suddenly.â⬠Theo squinted at the screen, trying to make sense of the data. ââ¬Å"There were heel marks on the wall. She had to have hung herself. She was depressed, taking Zoloft for it.â⬠ââ¬Å"Not according to the toxicology.â⬠ââ¬Å"What?â⬠ââ¬Å"They ran the toxicology for antidepressants because you put it on the report, but there was nothing.â⬠ââ¬Å"It says suicide right there.â⬠ââ¬Å"Yes, it does, but the date doesnââ¬â¢t corroborate the timing. Looks like she had a heart attack. Then she hung herself afterward.â⬠ââ¬Å"So she was murdered?â⬠ââ¬Å"You wanted to see the report. It says cardiac arrest. But ultimately, cardiac arrest is what kills everyone. Catch a bullet in the head, get hit by a car, eat some poison. The heart tends to stop.â⬠ââ¬Å"Eat some poison?â⬠ââ¬Å"Just an example, Crowe. Itââ¬â¢s not my field. If I were you, Iââ¬â¢d check and see if she had a history of heart problems.â⬠ââ¬Å"You said it wasnââ¬â¢t your field.â⬠ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s not.â⬠The Spider hit a key and a laser printer whirred in the darkness somewhere. ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t have much on the kid. I could give you the subscription list for his paper route.â⬠Theo realized that he had gotten all he was going to get on Bess Leander. ââ¬Å"I have that. How about giving me any known baby-rapers in the area?â⬠ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s easy.â⬠The Spiderââ¬â¢s fingers danced over the keyboard. ââ¬Å"You think the kid was snatched?â⬠ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t know shit,â⬠Theo said. The Spider said, ââ¬Å"No known pedophiles in Pine Cove. You want the whole county?â⬠ââ¬Å"Why not?â⬠The laser printer whirred and the Spider pointed through the dark at the noise. ââ¬Å"Everything you want is back there. Thatââ¬â¢s all I can do for you.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thanks, Nailgun, I appreciate it.â⬠Theo felt a chronic case of the creeps going up his spine. He took a step into the dark and found the papers sitting in the tray of the laser printer. Then he stepped to the door. ââ¬Å"You wanna buzz me out?â⬠The Spider swiveled in his chair and looked at Theo for the first time. Theo could see his piggy eyes shining out of deep craters. ââ¬Å"You still live in that cabin by the Beer Bar Ranch?â⬠ââ¬Å"Yep,â⬠Theo said. ââ¬Å"Eight years now.â⬠ââ¬Å"Never been on the ranch, though, have you?â⬠ââ¬Å"No.â⬠Theo cringed. Could the Spider know about Sheriff Burtonââ¬â¢s hold over him? ââ¬Å"Good,â⬠the Spider said. ââ¬Å"Stay out of there. And Theo?â⬠ââ¬Å"Yeah?â⬠ââ¬Å"Sheriff Burton has been checking with me on everything that comes out of Pine Cove. After the Leander death and the truck blowing up, he got very jumpy. If you decide to pursue the Leander thing, stay low-key.â⬠Theo was amazed. The Spider had actually volunteered information. ââ¬Å"Why?â⬠was all he could say. ââ¬Å"I like the herb you bring me.â⬠The Spider patted his shirt pocket. Theo smiled. ââ¬Å"You wonââ¬â¢t tell Burton you gave me the autopsy report?â⬠ââ¬Å"Why would I?â⬠said the Spider. ââ¬Å"Take care,â⬠Theo said. The Spider turned back to his screens and buzzed the door. Molly Molly wasnââ¬â¢t so sure that life as Pine Coveââ¬â¢s Crazy Lady wasnââ¬â¢t harder than being a Warrior Babe of the Outland. Things were pretty clear for a Warrior Babe: you ran around half-naked looking for food and fuel and occasionally kicked the snot out of some mutants. There was no subterfuge or rumor. You didnââ¬â¢t have to guess whether or not the Sand Pirates ap-proved of your behavior. If they approved, they staked you out and tortured you. If they didnââ¬â¢t they called you a bitch, then they staked you out and tortured you. They might release starving radioactive cockroaches on you or burn you with hot pokers, they might even gang-rape you (in foreign-release directorsââ¬â¢cuts only), but you always knew where you stood with Sand Pirates. And they never tittered. Molly had had all the tittering she could handle for the day. At the pharmacy, they had tittered. Four elderly women worked the counter at Pine Cove Drug and Gift, while above them, behind his glass window, Winston Krauss, the dolphin-molesting pharmacist, lorded over them like a rooster over a barnyard full of hens. It didnââ¬â¢t seem to matter to Winston that his four hens couldnââ¬â¢t make change or answer the simplest question, nor that they would retreat to the back room when anyone younger than thirty entered the pharmacy, lest they have to sell something embarrassing like condoms. What mattered to Winston was that his hens worked for minimum wage and treated him like a god. He was behind glass; tittering didnââ¬â¢t bother him. The hens started tittering when Molly hit the door and broke titter only when she came to the counter with an entire case of economy-sized Neosporin ointment. ââ¬Å"Are you sure, dear?â⬠they kept asking, refusing to take Mollyââ¬â¢s money. ââ¬Å"Perhaps we should ask Winston. This seems like an awful lot.â⬠Winston had disappeared among the shelves of faux-antidepressants when Molly entered the store. He wondered if he should have ordered some faux-antipsychotics as well. Val Riordan hadnââ¬â¢t said. ââ¬Å"Look,â⬠Molly finally said, ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m nuts. You know it, I know it, Winston knows it. But in America it is your right to be nuts. I get a check from the state every month because Iââ¬â¢m nuts. The state gives me money so I can buy whatever I need to continue being nuts, and right now I need this case of ointment. So ring it up so I can go be nuts somewhere else. Okay?â⬠The hens huddled and tittered. ââ¬Å"Or do I need to buy a case of those huge fluorescent orange prelubricated condoms with the deely-bobbers on the tip and blow them up in your card section.â⬠You never have to get this tough with Sand Pirates, Molly thought. The hens broke their huddle and looked up in terror. ââ¬Å"I hear theyââ¬â¢re like thousands of tiny fingers, urging you to let go,â⬠Molly added. Between the four of them it only took ten minutes more to ring up Mollyââ¬â¢s order and figure her change within the nearest dollar. As Molly was leaving, she turned and said, ââ¬Å"In the Outland, you would have all been made into jerky a long time ago.â⬠Fifteen Steve Getting blown up had put the Sea Beast in a deep blue funk. Sometimes when he felt this way, he would swim to the edge of a coral reef and lie there in the sand while neon cleaner fish nipped at the parasites and algae on his scales. His flanks flashed a truce of color to let the little fish know that they were safe as they darted in and out of his mouth, grabbing bits of food and grunge like tiny dental hygienists. In turn, they emanated an electromagnetic message that translated roughly to: ââ¬Å"I wonââ¬â¢t be a minute, sorry to bother you, please donââ¬â¢t eat me.â⬠He was getting a similar message from the warmblood that was ministering to his burns, and he flashed the truce of color along his sides to confirm that he understood. He couldnââ¬â¢t pick up the intentions of all warmbloods, but this one was wired differently. He could sense that she meant him no harm and was even going to bring him food. He understood that when she made the ââ¬Å"Steveâ⬠sound, she was talking to him. ââ¬Å"Steve,â⬠Molly said, ââ¬Å"stop making those colors. Do you want the neighbors to see? Itââ¬â¢s broad daylight.â⬠She was on a stepladder with a paintbrush. To the casual observer, she was painting her neighborââ¬â¢s trailer. In fact, she was applying great gobs of Neosporin oint ment to the Sea Beastââ¬â¢s back. ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢ll heal faster with this stuff on you, and it doesnââ¬â¢t sting.â⬠After she had covered the charred parts of the trailer with ointment, she draped fiberglass fabric on as bandages and began ladling roof-patching tar over the fabric. Several of her neighbors looked out their windows, dismissed her actions as more eccentricities of a crazy woman, then went back to their afternoon game shows. Molly was spreading the roofing tar over the fiberglass bandages with a squeegee when she heard a vehicle pull up in front of her trailer. Les, the hardware guy, got out of the truck, adjusted his suspenders, and headed toward her, looking a little nervous, but resolved. A light dew of sweat shone on his bald head, despite the autumn chill in the air. ââ¬Å"Little lady, what are you doing? I thought you were going to wait for me to help you.â⬠Molly came down from her ladder and stood with the squeegee at port arms while it dripped black goo. ââ¬Å"I wanted to get going on this before dark. Thanks for coming.â⬠She smiled sweetly ââ¬â a leftover movie star smile. Les escaped the smile to hardware land. ââ¬Å"I canââ¬â¢t even tell what youââ¬â¢re trying to do here, but whatever it is, it looks like you mucked it up pretty bad already.â⬠ââ¬Å"No, come here and look at this.â⬠Les moved cautiously to Mollyââ¬â¢s side and looked up at the trailer. ââ¬Å"What the hell is this thing made of anyway? Up close it looks like plastic or something.â⬠ââ¬Å"Maybe you should look at it from the inside,â⬠Molly said. ââ¬Å"The damage is more obvious in there.â⬠The hardware clerk leered. Molly felt him trying to stare through her sweatshirt. ââ¬Å"Well, if thatââ¬â¢s what you think. Letââ¬â¢s go inside and have a look.â⬠He started toward the door of the trailer. Molly grabbed his shoulder. ââ¬Å"Wait a second. Where are the keys to your truck?â⬠ââ¬Å"I leave ââ¬â¢em in it. Why? This town is safe.â⬠ââ¬Å"No reason, just wondering.â⬠Molly dazzled him with another smile. ââ¬Å"Why donââ¬â¢t you go on in? Iââ¬â¢ll be in as soon as I get some of this tar off of my hands.â⬠ââ¬Å"Sure thing, missy,â⬠Les said. He toddled toward the front door like a man badly in need of a rest room. Molly backed away toward Lesââ¬â¢s truck. When the hardware clerk laid a hand on the door handle, Molly called, ââ¬Å"Steve! Lunch!â⬠ââ¬Å"My name isnââ¬â¢t Steve,â⬠Les said. ââ¬Å"No,â⬠Molly said, ââ¬Å"youââ¬â¢re the other one.â⬠ââ¬Å"Les, you mean?â⬠ââ¬Å"No, lunch.â⬠Molly gave him one last smile. Steve recognized the sound of his name and felt the thought around the word ââ¬Å"lunchâ⬠Les felt something wet wrap around his legs and opened his mouth to scream just as the tip of the serpentââ¬â¢s tongue wrapped his face, cutting off his air. The last thing he saw was the bare breasts of the fallen scream queen, Molly Michon, as she lifted her sweatshirt to give him a farewell flash before he was slurped into the waiting maw of the Sea Beast. Molly heard the bones crunch and cringed. Boy, sometimes it just pays to be a nutcase, she thought. That sort of thing might bother a sane person. One of the windows in the front of the dragon trailer closed slowly and opened, a function of the Sea Beast pushing his meal down his throat, but Molly took it for a wink. Estelle Dr. Valââ¬â¢s office had always represented a little island of sanity to Estelle, a sophisticated status quo, always clean, calm, orderly, and well appointed. Like many artists, Estelle lived in an atmosphere of chaotic funk, taken by observers to be artistic charm, but in fact no more than a civilized way of dealing with the relative poverty and uncertainly of cannibalizing oneââ¬â¢s imagination for money. If you had to spill your guts to someone, it was nice to do it in a place that wasnââ¬â¢t spattered with paint and covered with canvases that beckoned to be finished. Dr. Valââ¬â¢s office was an escape, a pause, a comfort. But not today. After being sent in to the inner office, before she even sat down in one of the leather guest chairs, Estelle said, ââ¬Å"Your assistant is wearing oven mitts, did you know that?â⬠Valerie Riordan, for once with a few hairs out of place, rubbed her temples, looked at her desk blotter, and said, ââ¬Å"I know. She has a skin condition.â⬠ââ¬Å"But theyââ¬â¢re taped on with duct tape.â⬠ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s a very bad skin condition. How are you today?â⬠Estelle looked back toward the door. ââ¬Å"Poor thing. She seemed out of breath when I came in. Has she seen a doctor?â⬠ââ¬Å"Chloe will be fine, Estelle. Her typing skills may even improve.â⬠Estelle sensed that Dr. Val was not having a good day and decided to let the assistant in oven mitts pass. ââ¬Å"Thanks for seeing me on such short notice. I know itââ¬â¢s been a while since weââ¬â¢ve had a session, but I really felt I need to talk to someone. My life has gotten a little weird lately.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thereââ¬â¢s a lot of that going around,â⬠Dr. Val said, doodling on a legal pad as she spoke. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s up?â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ve met a man.â⬠Dr. Val looked up for the first time. ââ¬Å"You have?â⬠ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s a musician. A Bluesman. Heââ¬â¢s been playing at the Slug. I met him there. Weââ¬â¢ve been, well, heââ¬â¢s been staying at my place for the last couple of days.â⬠ââ¬Å"And how do you feel about that?â⬠ââ¬Å"I like it. I like him. I havenââ¬â¢t been with a man since my husband died. I thought I would feel like, well, like I was betraying him. But I donââ¬â¢t. I feel great. Heââ¬â¢s funny, and he has this sense of, I donââ¬â¢t know, wisdom. Like heââ¬â¢s seen it all, but he hasnââ¬â¢t become cynical. He seems sort of bemused by the hardships in life. Not at all like most people.â⬠ââ¬Å"But what about you?â⬠ââ¬Å"I think I love him.â⬠ââ¬Å"Does he love you?â⬠ââ¬Å"I think so. But he says heââ¬â¢s going to leave. Thatââ¬â¢s whatââ¬â¢s bothering me. I finally got used to being alone, and now that I found someone, heââ¬â¢s going to leave me because heââ¬â¢s afraid of a sea monster.â⬠Valerie Riordan dropped her pen and slumped in her chair ââ¬â a very unprofessional move, Estelle thought. ââ¬Å"Excuse me?â⬠Val said. ââ¬Å"A sea monster. We were at the beach the other night, and something came up out of the water. Something big. We ran for the car, and later Catfish told me that he was once chased by a sea monster down in the Delta and that it had come back to get him. He says he doesnââ¬â¢t want other people to get hurt, but I think heââ¬â¢s just afraid. He thinks the monster will come back as long as heââ¬â¢s on the coast. Heââ¬â¢s trying to get a gig in Iowa, as far from the coast as he can get. Do you think heââ¬â¢s just afraid to commit? I read a lot about that in the womenââ¬â¢s magazines.â⬠ââ¬Å"A sea monster? Is that a metaphor for something? Some Blues term that Iââ¬â¢m not getting?â⬠ââ¬Å"No, I think itââ¬â¢s a reptile, at least the way he describes it. I didnââ¬â¢t get a good look at it. It ate his best friend when he was a young man. I think heââ¬â¢s running away from the guilt. What do you think?â⬠ââ¬Å"Estelle, thereââ¬â¢s no such thing as sea monsters.â⬠ââ¬Å"Catfish said that no one would believe me.â⬠ââ¬Å"Catfish?â⬠ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s his name. My Bluesman. Heââ¬â¢s very sweet. He has a sense of gallantry that you donââ¬â¢t see much anymore. I donââ¬â¢t think itââ¬â¢s an act. Heââ¬â¢s too old for that. I didnââ¬â¢t think I would ever feel this way again. These are girl feelings, not woman feelings. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to have his grandchildren.â⬠ââ¬Å"Grandchildren?â⬠ââ¬Å"Sure, heââ¬â¢s had his days with the booze and the hos, but I think heââ¬â¢s ready to settle down.â⬠ââ¬Å"The booze and the hos?â⬠Dr. Val seemed to have gone into some sort of fugue state, working on a stunned psychiatrist autopilot where all she could do was parrot what Estelle said back in the form of a question. Estelle needed more input than this. ââ¬Å"Do you think I should tell the authorities?â⬠ââ¬Å"About the booze and the hos?â⬠ââ¬Å"The sea monster. That Plotznik boy is missing, you know?â⬠Dr. Val made a show of straightening her blouse and assuming a controlled, staid, professional posture. ââ¬Å"Estelle, I think we may need to adjust your medication.â⬠ââ¬Å"I havenââ¬â¢t been taking it. But I feel fine. Catfish says that if Prozac had been invented a hundred years ago there wouldnââ¬â¢t have been any Blues at all. Just a lot of happy people with no soul. I tend to agree with him. The antidepressants served their purpose for me after Joe died, but Iââ¬â¢m not sure I need them now. I even feel like I could get some painting done ââ¬â if I can find some time away from sex.â⬠Dr. Val winced. ââ¬Å"I was thinking of something besides antidepressants, Estelle. You obviously are dealing with some serious changes right now. Iââ¬â¢m not sure how to proceed. Do you think that Mr., uh, Catfish would mind coming to a session with you?â⬠ââ¬Å"That might be tough. He doesnââ¬â¢t like your mojo.â⬠ââ¬Å"My mojo?â⬠ââ¬Å"Not your mojo in particular. Just psychiatristââ¬â¢s mojo in general. He spent a little time in a mental hospital in Mississippi after the monster ate his friend. He didnââ¬â¢t care for the staffââ¬â¢s mojo.â⬠Estelle realized that her vocabulary, even her way of thinking, had changed over the last few days, the result of immersion in Catfishââ¬â¢s Blues world. The doctor was rubbing her temples again. ââ¬Å"Estelle, letââ¬â¢s make another appointment for tomorrow or the next day. Tell Chloe to add it on at the end of the day if Iââ¬â¢m booked up. And try to bring your gentleman along with you. In the meantime, assure him that my practice is mojo-free, would you?â⬠Estelle stood. ââ¬Å"Can that little girl write with those oven mitts on?â⬠ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢ll manage.â⬠ââ¬Å"So what should I do? I donââ¬â¢t want him to go. But I feel like Iââ¬â¢ve lost a part of myself by falling in love. Iââ¬â¢m happy, but I donââ¬â¢t know who I am anymore. Iââ¬â¢m worried.â⬠Estelle realized that she was starting to whine and looked at her shoes, ashamed. ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s our time, Estelle. Letââ¬â¢s save this for our next appointment.â⬠ââ¬Å"Right. Should I tell the constable about the sea monster?â⬠ââ¬Å"Letââ¬â¢s hold off on that for now. These things have a way of taking care of themselves.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thanks, Dr. Val. Iââ¬â¢ll see you tomorrow.â⬠ââ¬Å"Good-bye, Estelle.â⬠Estelle left the office and stopped at Chloeââ¬â¢s desk outside. The girl was gone, but there were animal noises coming from the bathroom just down the hall. Perhaps she had caught one of the oven mitts on her nose ring. Poor thing. Estelle went to the bathroom door and knocked lightly. ââ¬Å"Are you okay in there, dear? Do you need some help?â⬠The answer came back in high moan. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m fine. Really fine. Thanks. Oh my God!â⬠ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re sure?â⬠ââ¬Å"No, thatââ¬â¢s all right!â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m supposed to make an appointment for tomorrow or the next day. The doctor said to pencil it in late if you have to.â⬠Estelle could hear thumping noises coming from the bathroom, and it sounded as if the medicine cabinet had dumped. ââ¬Å"Oh wow! Wow! Oh wow!â⬠The scheduling must really have been tight. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m sorry. I wonââ¬â¢t bother you anymore. Call me to confirm, would you, dear?â⬠Estelle left Valerie Riordanââ¬â¢s house even more unsettled than she had come in, thinking that it had been quite some time, half a day anyway, since she had had her skinny Bluesman between the sheets. Dr. Val Val had a break between appointments, time in which to reflect on her suspicion that by taking everyone in Pine Cove off antidepressants, she had turned the town into a squirrelââ¬â¢s nest. Estelle Boyet had always been a tad eccentric, it was part of her artist persona, but Val had never seen this as unhealthy. On the contrary, the self-image of an eccentric artist seemed to help Estelle get over losing her husband. But now the woman was raving about sea monsters, and worse, she was getting involved in a relationship with a man that could only be construed as self-destructive. Could people ââ¬â rational adult people ââ¬â still fall in love like that? Could they still feel like that? Val wanted to feel like that. For the first time since her divorce, it occurred to her that she actually wanted to be involved again with a man. No, not just involved, in love. She pulled her Rolodex from the desk drawer and thumbed through it until she found the number of her psychiatrist in San Junipero. She had been in analysis all through med school and residency, it was an integral part of the training of any psychiatrist, but she hadnââ¬â¢t seen her therapist in over five years. Maybe it was time. What sort of cynicism had come over her, that she was interpreting the desire to fall in love as a condition requiring treatment? Maybe her cynicism was the problem. Of course she couldnââ¬â¢t tell him about what she had done to her patients, but perhapsâ⬠¦ A red light blinked on the tiny LED panel on her phone and the incoming call, screened by Chloe, who had obviously taken a short break from her self-abuse, scrolled across the screen. Constable Crowe, line one. Speaking of squirrels. She picked up the phone. ââ¬Å"Dr. Riordan.â⬠ââ¬Å"Hi, Dr. Riordan, this is Theo Crowe. I just called to tell you that you were right.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thank you for calling, Constable. Have a nice day.â⬠ââ¬Å"You were right about Bess Leander not taking the antidepressants. I just got a look at the toxicology report. There was no Zoloft in her system.â⬠Val stopped breathing. ââ¬Å"Doctor, are you there?â⬠All her worries about the drugs, this whole perverse plan, all the extra sessions, the long hours, the guilt, the frigginââ¬â¢ guilt, and Bess Leander hadnââ¬â¢t been taking her medication at all. Val felt sick to her stomach. ââ¬Å"Doctor?â⬠Theo said. Val forced herself to take a deep breath. ââ¬Å"Why? I mean, when? Itââ¬â¢s been over a month. When did you find this out?â⬠ââ¬Å"Just today. I wasnââ¬â¢t given access to the autopsy report. No one was. Iââ¬â¢m sorry it took so long.â⬠ââ¬Å"Well, thank you for letting me know, Constable. I appreciate it.â⬠She prepared to ring off. ââ¬Å"Dr. Riordan, donââ¬â¢t you have to get a medical history on your patients before you prescribe anything?â⬠ââ¬Å"Yes. Why?â⬠ââ¬Å"Do you know if Bess Leander had any heart problems?â⬠ââ¬Å"No, physically she was a very healthy woman, as far as I know. Why?â⬠ââ¬Å"No reason,â⬠Theo said. ââ¬Å"Oh yeah, I never got your thoughts on the information I shared at breakfast. About Joseph Leander. I was still wondering if you had any thoughts?â⬠The whole world had flip-flopped. Val had stone-walled up to now on Bess Leander because she had assumed that her own negligence had had something to do with Bessââ¬â¢s death. What now, though? Really, she didnââ¬â¢t know much about Bess at all. She said, ââ¬Å"What exactly do you want from me, Constable?â⬠ââ¬Å"I just need to know, did she suspect her husband of having an affair? Or give you any indication that she might be afraid of him?â⬠ââ¬Å"Are you saying what I think you are saying? You donââ¬â¢t think Bess Leander committed suicide?â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m not saying that. Iââ¬â¢m just asking.â⬠Val searched her memory. What had Bess Leander said about her hus-band? ââ¬Å"I remember her saying that she felt he was uninvolved in their family life and that she had laid down the law to him.â⬠ââ¬Å"Laid down the law? In what way?â⬠ââ¬Å"She told him that because he refused to put the toilet seat down, he was going to have to sit down to pee from now on.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s it?â⬠ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s all I can remember. Joseph Leander is a salesman. He was gone a lot. I think Bess felt that he was somewhat of an intrusion on her and the girlsââ¬â¢ lives. It wasnââ¬â¢t a healthy relationship.â⬠As if there is such a thing, Val thought. ââ¬Å"Are you investigating Joseph Leander?â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢d rather not say,â⬠Theo said. ââ¬Å"Do you think I should be?â⬠ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re the policeman, Mr. Crowe.â⬠ââ¬Å"I am? Oh, right, I am. Anyway, thanks, Doctor. By the way, my friend Gabe thought you were, uh, interesting, I mean, charming. I mean, he enjoyed talking with you.â⬠ââ¬Å"He did?â⬠ââ¬Å"Donââ¬â¢t tell him I said so.â⬠ââ¬Å"Of course. Good-bye, Constable.â⬠Val hung up and sat back in her chair. She had unnecessarily put an entire town in emotional chaos, committed a basketful of federal crimes as well as breaking nearly every ethical standard in her field, and one of her patients had possibly been murdered, but she felt, well, sort of excited. Charming, she thought. He found me charming. I wonder if he really said ââ¬Å"charmingâ⬠or if Theo was just making that up ââ¬â the pothead. Charming. She smiled and buzzed Chloe to send in her next appointment. How to cite The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove Chapter 14~15, Essay examples

Principles and Practice of Marketing
Question: Describe about the Essay for Principles and Practice of Marketing? Answer: Introduction: The marketing technique is really crucial for the cosmetics companies. It helps to identify the key markets and the key customers. In this regard, the major focus would be put on Con-merchants. The consumer insight regarding the anti-aging substance is really crucial for the performance of Con-merchants. In this assignment, the major emphasis will be provided on the particular pricing strategy which can be adopted best for this cosmetics company. In addition, the assignment will also highlight on the promotional techniques. In this regard, it will also identify the key competitors of this company. For assessing the proper customer satisfaction it is also required to understand the competitors for this product. It is strategically important for this company to identify the potential market for the successful business operations. Key market location and identification of main customers: As the Con-merchants sell anti ageing colognes, the key market would be the women segment of age group between 26-45 years. It is a proven fact that the anti ageing cream market is growing at the rate of 8.5% (www.transparencymarketresearch.com, 2016). Pudaruth et al. (2015) also identified that the global anti ageing market is going to be worth USD 191.7 billion by the end of the year 2019. The market size of the anti wrinkle product is growing rapidly not only the women segment, but also in the mens segments as well. Across the Asia-Pacific region, India, China, South Korea, Japan, the demand for anti ageing cream is attracting maximum interest for age reversing processes such as plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery. On the other hand, it has been identified that due to the global warming, teenagers also experiencing the tanning issue and pigmentation (Kang and Ahn, 2010). As a result, a greater tendency of purchasing anti ageing products among the teenagers is also increasing. Thus , Con-merchants are producing soft anti ageing products to target the teenagers and the anti ageing colognes target men and women of age group between 26-45 years. Another valuable fact is that the purchase behaviour of middle age group customers have increased due to the greater earnings ratio. Thus, the women and mens segment in the 26-45 age groups, drastically shifting towards the professional products. This is to improve the skin condition is a faster way and to get younger looks than the actual scenario. Thus, the scope of targeting teenage customers can be a greater opportunity for the Con-merchants. As the teenagers and students face monetary issues, the tendency to purchase a mediocre and economic range skin care products is increasing significantly. Hence, the women segment, mens group and the teenagers could be identified as the major customers of the present product offered by the Con-merchants. Type of pricing strategy required to be adopted: For luxury products like cosmetics, the price is a crucial issue. Depending on the strength of innovation, the pricing strategy is required to be directed towards the execution capabilities to reduce the cost. Pricing is highly important to achieve the success by finding the appropriate price point so that the sales and profits can be maximised. In this regard, the premium pricing strategy sets the price higher than the competitors. According to Arping and Lrnth (2006), the premium pricing strategy creates the vital impact on the effectiveness of the marketing strategy of the company. For the companies which are trying to launch any new product in the market, the premium pricing is the most effective strategy for launching in the new market. On the other hand, Brown (2013) mentioned that penetration pricing strategy has been designed for capturing market share to enter into the market through low price. The low pricing relative to the competitors attracts the huge buyers for this ant i-aging substance for Con-merchants. The penetration pricing might initially create a loss for the company. However, there is the chance of creating the awareness through word-of-mouth. On the other hand, Con-merchants can opt for the low-cost approach for its marketing. In addition, the business which has the immense competitive advantage can easily enter into the new market through the price skimming strategy. However, Jaakkola (2007) argued that it has been designed to achieve maximum revenue advantage over the competitors. Moreover the psychological pricing is also crucial for the marketers to establish the product range in the market. Promotional techniques to be recommended: As the Con-merchant is trying acquire the teenager-beauty-care segment, social media marketing can be more effective to generate greater product awareness. As cited by Meyer and Thu Tran (2006), teenagers are mostly engaged in the social media sites and share views regarding the product feature, advantages, disadvantages, etc. Thus, marketing via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. could generate multiple likes among the viewers and more teenagers will be attracted towards the products offered by Con-merchants. On the other hand, Kang and Ahn (2010) mentioned that before promoting a product to the target market, employing sound PR communication could be effective for the marketers. The engagement of the local customers in the PR activity could help Con-merchants analysing the market response of varied target customers and the product alterations can also be done as per the gathered feedback of teenagers and the adult customer groups. On the other hand, Clow and Baack (2012) mentioned that since the beauty care segment is experiencing faster growth, the market competition is also increasing equally. Thus, adequate promotion will be needed to attract large pool of customers in the targeted zone. Similarly, a canter van promotion can be conducted across the global regions so that the product features can be mentioned and the on road promotion can generate higher brand awareness. The random announcements and brand featuring can enable Con-merchants achieving greater customer engagement towards the brand and the product can attain higher competitiveness as well. Additionally, considering the different geographic locations and the consumer purchase behaviour, Con-merchants could employ radio and television advertisement to attract older age group customers as well. Anti ageing solution can also be manufactured for the older age groups as well. Chu et al. (2013) identified that almost 75% of the older age group prefer t o view television advertisement or radio promotions to know the product feature and the usability along with the pricing. These people use skin care products in order to look better and switch from one brand to another frequently. The moderate pricing with the optimum product feature can be marketed via different promotional campaigns to attract a large pool of varied customers. Thus, Con-merchants can have the chance of attracting a certain group of old customers by promoting the product offerings over radio and television media. Impact of various elements of the marketing environment on plan: The marketing environment of any company is required to be taken into consideration during developing and presenting the new market. Considering the opinion of Langviniene and Guobyte (2014), the elements of the marketing environment is consisted with the changing preferences of the customers, the market competition, political, regulatory and the legal environment. In this regard, the Porters five force tool helps to understand the power of the current marketing plan (Liozu and Hinterhuber, 2012). This element is also crucial for understanding the competitive position in marketing of Con-merchants. This element of the marketing environment is used to recognise whether the anti ageing product of this company would be at all profitable or not. The tastes and trends of the customers are highly required to focus as per the present market trends. On the other hand, Utaka (2014) argued that the budget has also the role in marketing the decisions. The budget and the economy are the crucial elements which has the massive influence on the current marketing plan for Con-merchants. The consumers are not interested to pay the premium price for the product. In this regard, the advertising of the anti-aging substance would create a huge impact on the marketing plan. The advertising is required to focus on the point that the customers could be benefitted through using such product and could also save the money. On the other hand, the prudent marketing decisions also highly get influenced by the competitors (Arping and Lrnth, 2006). The quality of the product is the major element during designing the marketing plan. The cultural and social factors are also related to the elements of the marketing environment as these are associated with the customers preferences. Hence, the consideration of such cultural group is required to be reflected in the packaging of the products also in terms of marketing strategy. As the external element of the marketing environment, the legal and pol itical environment could also restrict the effectiveness of any marketing plan. In this regard, the PESTLE analysis (political, economical, social, technological, legal and environmental) is really crucial for Co-merchants to identify the business opportunity in the cosmetics industry. Conclusion: The present study indicates that skin care product can be marketed for varied age groups including the teenagers also. Even, it has been addressed that teenager segment could generate higher revenue for the brand Con-merchants by promoting the features via social media sites. On the other hand, Con-merchants have been addressed to conduct a premium pricing strategy to attract varied consumer groups towards the brand. Promotional techniques such as social media advertisement, PR campaigns, and canter van promotion have been suggested so that the brand can attain optimum market response within the short time span. Finally, the elements such as budget, economy and customers preference have been identified so that the marketing plan can be altered as per the need of the customers. Thus, higher brand sustainability can be experienced. References: Arping, S., and Lrnth, G. (2006). Corporate leverage and product differentiation Strategy,The Journal of Business,79(6), pp.31753206.
